When the Missouri Dump Truckers Association was founded in 1970, it placed a bet that those who became members would come out winners. The members hit the jackpot. The pay off of the successes from their membership far outweighed any gamble they took to become a member.

A commercial dump truck is the essential part of the transportation industry and is the backbone of the construction industry. The Holiday Inn Select Executive Center extends its hospitality to MDTA members as well as vendors from all over Missouri and contiguous states with information and demonstrations for exhibiting at the trade show.

Convention registrations include three buffet meals and entertainment. During the Friday night social, a full meal deal of mouth-watering barbecue will be dealt out for the registrant's enjoyment as they network with the trade show vendors and their peers.

After the Saturday morning breakfast buffet, a combination Board and General Membership meeting will follow to vote on the 2012 slate of officers. The members will receive an annual status report. A presentation will be provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

For the 2012 convention, MDTA is also taking a chance and changing the traditional form of entertainment. Dealers offer a welcome break from the dance floor. On Saturday night be prepared to break the bank at the Vegas Casino Night. Of course, it is all play money. But, the chance to win nice prices is real.
